General Questions
Q.What if I reschedule or delay my treatment?
A.Delaying or canceling your treatment for the day could move you to the back of the line for this step or whenever we can get back in your neighborhood. If we happen to run out of time for this step, it could be cancelled altogether. We STRONGLY RECOMMEND AGAINST IT as our program is based on timing.
Q.What is Step 5 and what does it do?
A.Step 5 is a granular application of fertilizer with our unique growing season technology. Step 5 helps the lawn recover from the summer stresses and provides the roots of the lawn essential nutrients they need during the fall growing season.
Mowing
Q.Does it matter if I mow right before or right after Step 5 is applied?
A.No, Step 5 is a granular application, so there are no mowing restrictions with this step. Feel free to mow right along with us if you'd like.
Q.How high should my lawn be cut during Step 5?
A.We ask that you maintain 4 inches in height through Step 5 or at least until the end of September. Then you should reduce the height to 3.5 inches.
Rain
Q.What if it rains right before or right after Step 5 is applied?
A.Rain is actually a good thing with this application, since it helps the granules absorb into the soil. If it rains beforehand, our technicians will make a judgment call on-site about whether to apply the step, based on how wet the lawn is. Please don't call to delay treatment just because rain is in the forecast — that's exactly what you're paying us to handle, so trust us to make that call.
Q.Will this burn my grass if it hasn't rained or doesn't rain for a while after the application?
A.No, the fertilizer is a granular pellet and will just sit on top of the soil until it rains.
Pets
Q.How Soon Can my Pets go on the lawn after application?
A.Pets can go back on the lawn immediately after this application.

Q.Do I need to water my lawn after application?
A.No, this fertilizer will sit on top of the soil and will wait for it to be rained in without losing its efficacy.
